The first part of the poem (before the ellipsis) I wrote the night that it actually happened, and then the second part I wrote a few weeks later as I reflected on it.

Hey, I like this a lot. I especially like the first stanza and wonder if you could make it more poignant by making it shorter; just a suggestion. :) Good stuff.

Good call. I cut out the middle two lines, which I never really thought were terribly good anyways.
